Refund policy

At Äerd Lab, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights when purchasing products from our online store and distinguishes between:

  • our voluntary 30-day return policy, offered in addition to your legal rights; and
  • your statutory right of withdrawal under European Union consumer protection law.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.

1. Voluntary 30-Day Return Policy

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary 30-day return policy.

You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return under this voluntary policy, the item must:

  • be in good condition;
  • not be damaged through use beyond what is necessary to inspect it;
  • include all accessories supplied with the product;
  • be accompanied by proof of purchase.

Returns must not be sent without prior authorization.

Unless the product is defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods.

2. Statutory Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you receive your goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you may:

  • use the online Withdrawal Button available on our website; or
  • contact us by email at studio@aerdlab.com with a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the contract.

After submitting your withdrawal request through our website, you will receive an electronic confirmation acknowledging receipt of your request.

You must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal.

The deadline is met if you send the goods before the 14-day period expires.

3. Handling of Returned Goods

You may inspect and handle the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, similar to what would be permitted in a physical retail store.

If the value of the goods has been diminished as a result of handling beyond what is necessary for this purpose, we may deduct an appropriate amount from your refund as permitted by applicable law.

Original packaging is appreciated but is not required in order to exercise your statutory right of withdrawal.

4. Refunds

For withdrawals made under your statutory EU right of withdrawal, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the standard cost of delivery (where required by applicable law), no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice.

However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever occurs first.

For returns made under our voluntary 30-day return policy, approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned goods.

Refunds will always be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

Please note that your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time.

5. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If you receive:

  • a damaged product;
  • a defective product; or
  • the wrong item,

We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, repair, replace or refund the product in accordance with applicable consumer law.

6. Products Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where permitted by law, including:

  • goods made to the consumer's specifications;
  • clearly personalized or custom-made products;
  • sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • digital content supplied electronically after performance has begun with the consumer's prior consent and acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is lost.

Gift cards are non-refundable.

7. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you would like a different product, please return your original purchase (where eligible) and place a new order.

8. Return Shipping Costs

Unless the return results from our error, or because the product is defective or damaged, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as you remain responsible for the goods until they reach us.
